South Sudan’s violent transformation into the world’s youngest country has left 1.4 million children without education. The literacy rate is the worst in the world at 27 per cent. If you are an adolescent girl in South Sudan you are more likely to die during child birth than complete primary school.
BRAC is taking our proven education model to South Sudan to educate children aged 8-11 in their communities, support girls to go to school and successfully transition pupils into government schools. In the next five years we plan to educate 100,000 children. Support BRAC to create opportunities for the world’s poor.
